Okay, remember that post I made a while ago about not being able to find any social organizations in Chicago geared specifically towards Bisexuals to become involved with? Well I decided to stop whining about it and do something. So with the help of a bi-friendly friend of mine we are starting Bi Chi!

The mission of Bi Chi is to bring together a group of 20 to 30 something bi and bi-friendly Chicagoans for social activities and social action. We want to encourage members to network and meet others in the hopes of fostering friendship, building a sense of community amongst Chicago area bisexual and bi-friendly individuals, and encouraging informed advocacy.

So far we have only a few members and haven’t really had an organized event yet. There is a lot that needs to be done in terms of program development and marketing. We hope to eventually organize monthly group activities and events as well as provide a forum for discussion about bisexual issues. We also want to implement a book club that focuses on bisexual authors and themes.
